England trip part 2

Finally, the apartment that I saw on Skype became real. And the size of the apartment I had seen from the lens was not exactly the actual size of the apartment.. It was smaller than what I had seen (and probably expected). You probably only get this kind of feeling when you finally visit a place that you have seen only through a screen, and that kind of place is not a famous or well-known place. Okay, if you saw the Big Ben through a screen you probably don't get that strong a feeling because you know that the place really exists. Not that I doubted on the existence of the apartment, but it never felt as real as seeing it with my own eyes and living in it!

The following day, we did not have very tiring activities. After breakfast, we headed to church for mass. (It was not a Sunday, but it was a good experience to know which church my mother and sister went to for mass) After mass, we went to Portobello Street. We saw stalls selling fresh fruits and vegetables. It was a street of shophouses, I guess,  but there were also stalls at the roadside. So after we bought some things from Portobello Street, we had lunch, then went home. That was how we spent that day. I thought it would not be that hard to overcome jet lag (or in this case it is not time lag) or the difference in time zones, but it took me almost two weeks to not take an afternoon nap to fight the fatigue.

On the third day of our trip, my parents and I set off to Oxford via the Oxford Tube. There is also train service to Oxford, which takes nearly as long as the time the coach takes to get to Oxford. We passed by fields along the way and eventually we alighted at the final stop, Gloucester Green, where we were to meet my brother for lunch. After we alighted the coach but before we say my brother, we saw a farmers' market and other stalls selling other types of things, even books! After lunch, we went to my brother's apartment...

(More coming soon!)
